We are actively recruiting people who speak and write African languages fluently, and engineers who want to build the AI models that understand them. If that is you, apply below, every application is reviewed personally.
Professional Linguists
Open CallWe are looking for people who can speak and write fluently in Igbo, Nigerian Pidgin, Yoruba, Hausa, or other African languages, to transcribe, translate, and review speech data with linguistic precision. No prior AI experience required, just real fluency and attention to detail.
Native or near-native fluency in at least one target language
Strong written accuracy, spelling, tone marks, dialect awareness
Comfortable listening to and transcribing audio recordings
Understanding of code-switching (mixing Igbo/Pidgin/English) is a plus
LLM & Speech AI Engineers
Open CallWe are looking for engineers interested in fine-tuning speech recognition and translation models, Whisper, NLLB, TTS pipelines, for low-resource African languages. Remote-friendly, flexible commitment.
Experience with PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers, or similar
Familiarity with speech models (Whisper, wav2vec) or NLP/translation models (NLLB, mBART)
Comfortable working with small, imperfect, real-world datasets
Interest in low-resource and African language AI specifically
Data Annotators
Open CallHelp label and review audio clips for accuracy, dialect, and code-switching using our Label Studio pipeline. Flexible, remote, paid per task.
Fluency in Igbo, Pidgin, or another Nigerian language
Reliable internet connection and attention to detail
Available for ongoing, flexible-hours work
