Information We Collect

Enquiries. This website has no contact or enquiry forms — every route to us is a direct email link. When you email us we receive whatever you choose to put in that email, typically your name, email address, organisation and the details of your enquiry, including any attachment such as a CV.

Contributor profiles. If you create a profile in our contributor network, we collect the account and profile details you provide: name, email address, location and time zone, professional background, languages and dialects, skills and availability, and a photograph if you choose to upload one. Providing a photograph is optional.

Performance records. Where you complete work for us, our reviewers record assessments of that work against defined criteria, together with any notes. These records are attached to your profile.

Our hosting infrastructure records standard server logs, which include IP address, browser type and pages requested. We do not operate third-party analytics, advertising or profiling tools on this site.

How We Use Your Information

We use what you send us to answer your enquiry, scope work, assess an application, and keep a record of our correspondence with you.

Contributor profiles are used to match people to suitable work, to assess suitability, and to administer that work. Performance records are used to decide what work someone is matched to next and to maintain quality standards.

Contributor profiles and performance records are internal. They are visible to the LeanGoogs team only — they are not published, not shown to clients, and not shared with third parties as a directory.

We do not sell your personal information. Decisions about qualification and work allocation are made by people, not by automated processing, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you emailed us.

Data Sharing

We share personal information only where it is necessary to operate: our email provider and hosting infrastructure, and professional advisers where required.

Where an engagement involves third-party infrastructure or services, we identify them during scoping so they can be reviewed before any of your data is handled.

We may also disclose information if required by law, court order or a governmental authority, or to protect the rights, property or safety of LeanGoogs AI, our users or the public.

Data Retention

Email correspondence is retained for as long as needed for the purpose it was sent, and to satisfy legal, accounting or reporting requirements.

Unsuccessful applications are retained for up to 12 months in case a suitable role opens, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Contributor profiles are retained while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your profile at any time by emailing career@leangoogsai.org, and we will remove your profile, photograph and associated records except where we are required to retain something for legal or accounting reasons.

For customer engagements, retention periods are agreed in the contract for that engagement rather than set by this policy.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, and request data portability.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@leangoogsai.org. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies only. There are no advertising, retargeting or third-party analytics cookies on this site.

A banner asks for your choice on first visit, and you can change it at any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer. Every cookie we set is listed individually in our Cookie Policy at /cookies.

Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. These include HTTPS encryption, role-based access control on a least-privilege basis, rate limiting on authentication, and logging of privileged access.

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Note that ordinary email is not encrypted end to end — please do not send us credentials, or sensitive personal or customer data, by email without agreeing a secure channel with us first.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the date on this page, and where the change affects cookies the consent banner will ask you again.
