LEANGOOGS AI presents Lean Language at the AISN Network Member Showcase
On 1 July 2026, LEANGOOGS AI founder Prince Onyeji delivered the opening session of the African AI Sovereignty Network (AISN) Member Showcase Series, presenting Lean Language to the network's full membership of African AI builders.
Rather than a sales pitch, the showcase was a live technical walkthrough of what we are actually building: our labeling pipeline, our 15-field annotation schema for African speech, and the architecture behind Lean Language, fine-tuned Whisper for speech recognition, NLLB-200 for translation, and MMS-TTS for voice output.
Why this matters
The AISN is a network of builders committed to sovereign African AI infrastructure. Presenting our work to this community is exactly the kind of technical validation that early-stage deep-tech companies need, real engineers asking hard questions about our approach to code-switching, dialect handling, and data sovereignty.
We are not pitching investors today. We are showing builders what we are building.
The session covered the problem (over 500 million Africans excluded from modern AI), our solution (speech-to-speech translation built for how Africans actually speak), and our roadmap toward a working end-to-end prototype.
