Today we are formally introducing Lean Language, LEANGOOGS AI's speech-to-speech translation engine for African languages. Speak Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, Pidgin, Swahili, Amharic, or Zulu and be understood in English, and back again, in real time.

Built for how Africans actually speak

Global speech models were trained on English, Mandarin, and European languages. They break the moment someone code-switches, mixing Igbo, Pidgin, and English in a single sentence, which is how hundreds of millions of Africans communicate every day. Lean Language treats code-switching as a first-class feature, not noise to be cleaned away.

Data sovereign by design

Every voice clip we collect stays on African hardware under African law. No raw African voice data is uploaded to a foreign cloud. We believe African AI infrastructure must be owned and controlled by Africans.
